San Diego Tournament
June 20-22, 2008

NOTE : PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE MESSAGE.  GIANTS ENTRIES WILL NOT BE BASED ON FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. 

We will be playing once again at Point Loma Nazarene College.  Click here for the campus map.  Billed as "America's Most Scenic Ballpark", the baseball diamond has an ocean view.  This tournament features three Giant teams, two Dodger teams, and a Padres squad.

H O T E L S

We have reserved rooms at The Bay Club Hotel and Marina.  The rate is $155 per night and includes a full breakfast and parking.  The Bay Club is on Shelter Island, just north of the airport and is 10 minutes from the field.

Rooms are being held until May 30th.  Refer to Giants San Diego Baseball Tournament.  Book early for best room selection.  The hotel is going to be full that weekend.

S A T U R D A Y  N I G H T  B A N Q U E T

Dinner on Saturday night will be at the Bali Hai Restaurant which is across the street from the Bay Club.  The room has a view of the bay and the food promises to be more upscale.  This is the reason for the increase in tournament fees.

S I G N U P S  (read carefully)

We will only bring three Giants teams this year.  It is likely that there are more than 36 Giants that want to play.  To be fair, a lottery process has been devised that increases your chances of playing based upon how flexible your playing schedule is.  You will increase your chances of gaining a roster spot by making yourself available for the entire weekend.  Those who have NO playing restrictions will have their entries weighted more heavily.

First, tell us what schedules you CAN play from the three listed below.  Second, rank your preferences for playing schedule from 1 to 3 with 1 being your first choice.  You will be placed in the lottery for each of the teams whose schedule you can accommodate.

Team 1: Fri: 8:30am  Sat: 11:30am  Sun: 2:00pm

Team 2: Fri: 11:30am  Sat: 2:30pm  Sun: 8:00am

Team 3: Fri: 2:30pm  Sat: 8:30am  Sun: 11:00am
